Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
As Chair of the National Organizing Committee (NOC), I am pleased to cordially invite you to the Asia-Pacific Measurement Forum on Mechanical Quantities (APMF), which will be held in Jeju, Korea in 2026.
As you are well aware, the APMF has a rich history that began in 1992 as a bilateral symposium between China and Japan (ISMFM). Since then, it has grown significantly, evolving into one of the most important international symposia in the world. Over the past three decades, APMF has become a vital platform for harmonizing measurement techniques with the daily requirements of people in the Asia-Pacific region.
Following the 15th symposium held online in 2023, APMF marks our 16th gathering. We are especially excited to return to Jeju, a location that previously hosted the symposium in 2005. More than just a technical conference, APMF has been a cherished venue where many of us have built lasting friendships and professional bonds for over a decade. We look forward to this symposium being a meaningful opportunity for longtime colleagues to reunite, share their journeys, and further strengthen the close-knit community of experts that defines the APMF.
In addition to the rigorous academic program, Jeju Island—a world-renowned natural heritage site—will offer participants a unique blend of breathtaking scenery and warm hospitality. I am confident that APMF in Jeju will be an event to be of benefit to all the participants academically, physically, and mentally.
I look forward to seeing you all again in the beautiful island of Jeju in 2026.
Sincerely,
Dr. Min Seok Kim
Chairman of National Organizing Committee, APMF 2026
